One of the best restaurants in Padua is Restaurant Trattoria Bazabò, where we recommend to try the homemade pasta. Secluded, away from the cones of the spotlight, simple, neat and cozy. The restaurant Bazabò of Vigonza, recently the subject of a successful restyling, is a short walk from the center of Vigonza, facing the side of the alley Bazabò. The whole family of Paolo Marzaro and Anna Zanella run it in the hall and in the kitchen. Who attended the local know very well the spirit of friendship that the couple can give. The restaurant, open for thirty years, to tell the truth, has a great discoverer: Ennio Arengi, the well-known manager, who twenty years ago published his own personal guide of the taverns, until then unknown, where the food was good. The 'Bazabò' was one of his favorite venues, for its farmhouse style and especially for its dishes. Some of them evoke the nostalgia of the flavors and scents of your childhood dinner table. The pasta is homemade, rolled with a rolling pin. Do not miss the artichoke crisps with Taleggio cheese, homemade macaroni with mushrooms and bacon, pasta with Prosecco, tripe alla parmigiana (cooked with tomatoes and cheese), braised meat. Excellent cold meats and salami with cheese, too. Between the side dishes we suggest the cooked radicchio, prepared with a sauté as they once did, with bacon. Anna makes also the desserts, and she makes them good.
